Our LED linear system bending technology enables the creation of continuous curved light lines while maintaining the full structural and optical integrity of the luminaire. This solution allows designers to create arcs and lighting elements integrated with the geometry of interiors or architectural structures, without compromising the mechanical, optical, or aesthetic parameters of the system.

The bending process is carried out in accordance with defined minimum bending radii, depending on the profile design and bending direction. This makes it possible to design repeatable and controlled lighting forms – both in the horizontal and vertical planes.

In the case of vertical bending, the light emission can be directed either toward the inside or outside of the curve, allowing the lighting effect to be precisely adapted to project requirements. This technology makes it possible to create both subtle curved light lines and more complex spatial lighting forms.

 

LED profiles for bending systems

LUMINES offers profiles specifically designed for controlled bending in two planes: horizontal and vertical, while maintaining structural stability and continuous light emission.

 

  • FLEXAA surface-mounted profile that can also be used in suspended installations. It allows the creation of smooth light lines adapted to the geometry of architectural space. The system supports connectors, enabling the construction of larger lighting layouts and installations with complex forms.
  • inFLEXAA recessed profile designed for integration with wall and ceiling surfaces. It is particularly suitable for creating curved light lines in walls, columns, and other curved architectural elements.

 

The bending technology can also be applied to other selected profiles from the LUMINES range, including: A, ATOM, DILEDA, and DUAL.

This makes it possible to design custom lighting layouts using proven profile systems.

 

Flexible covers for curved systems

The bending technology is complemented by flexible covers designed specifically to work with profiles formed into arcs.

BASIC FLEX and DOUBLE FLEX are flexible covers designed for bending in the horizontal plane, i.e. parallel to the cover surface.

They are made of high-quality Dow Corning silicone, characterized by high elasticity and resistance to mechanical deformation. The material ensures long-term structural durability and eliminates the risk of deformation even during extended system operation.

The covers are available in an opal version, which provides high light transmission while effectively masking LED points and ensuring uniform luminance along the entire length of the luminaire.

In the case of vertical bending, standard BASIC and DOUBLE covers can also be used.

 

New – Bending Configurator

To facilitate the design of curved lighting systems, we have introduced a completely new tool.

The LED profile bending configurator allows quick creation of custom lighting forms and enables luminaires to be adapted to non-standard architectural concepts.

The solution makes it easy to define the geometry of the designed installation and select the appropriate profile system, significantly accelerating the process of designing linear lighting in complex spaces.
